  • REACHnet

The Research Action for Health Network (REACHnet) is a Clinical Research Network in PCORnet® which has been developed with funding from the Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute® (PCORI®). REACHnet’s participation in PCORnet is funded through PCORI Award RI-LPHI-01-MC. Our mission is to enable multi-site research with enhanced efficiency in real-world health care delivery systems. REACHnet includes electronic health record data for over 18 million patients from multiple partner health systems in Louisiana, Texas, and California. REACHnet constitutes an innovative, standardized clinical data infrastructure for a large, representative patient population to serve as a foundation for research. REACHnet engages clinical sites, healthcare providers, patients, and the community to inform and implement observational studies and interventional trials in collaboration with local, regional, and national partners. Community engagement throughout the research process helps ensure studies generate evidence that is important to patients and the health care community.

  • Research Studies and Clinical Trials

REACHnet’s portfolio of research projects includes interventional trials, observational studies, and public health surveillance initiatives that use electronic health record data from real-world health care delivery systems. Our projects are conducted in partnership with leading local and national experts, as well as passionate patient and community groups.

  • Health in our Hands

Health in Our Hands (HiOH) is an engagement initiative from REACHnet that uses the knowledge, expertise, and opinions of real community members to influence clinical research. By recognizing individuals as experts on their own health, HiOH gives members the opportunity to connect patient voices with the research process. HiOH strives to guarantee that research studies address the issues and outcomes most important to the patient community. Researchers may partner with HiOH to enhance their studies via patient engagement. HiOH routinely informs members about opportunities to participate in research and shares research results.
