Shelina Davis, MPH, MSW
Shelina Davis, MPH, MSW is a Louisiana native, public health social worker, and passionate advocate for building communities where everyone has the opportunity to thrive. She serves as Chief Executive Officer of the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI), a nonprofit organization that acts as an ecosystem connector—working at the intersection of health systems, community-based organizations, and residents to advance health equity.
With over 17 years of experience, Shelina brings deep expertise in leadership development, organizational change, mental health and addiction prevention, treatment and recovery, health systems strengthening, and equity-centered public health practice. She is a relationship builder and systems thinker, committed to embedding public health across all sectors—including economic development—and investing in the next generation of leaders.
Shelina serves on the boards of Emancipet, the GPOA Foundation, the National Network of Public Health Institutes, and Propeller, and is Chairwoman of the New Orleans Chamber of Commerce. She is currently pursuing her Doctor of Public Health at the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health, where she is a Bloomberg American Health Initiative Addictions/Overdose Fellow.
She lives in New Orleans with her husband, Kenny Lamberti, and their beloved Pitbull, Norm.
