Sheila Dickerson, MBA, SHRM-SCP

Sheila Dickerson serves as Chief People Officer at the Louisiana Public Health Institute (LPHI), where she leads the organization’s people strategy in support of its mission and long-term priorities. She provides executive leadership for human resources, organizational development, workforce planning, leadership development, and talent strategy, helping ensure LPHI has the leadership and workforce needed to achieve its mission.

With more than 20 years of leadership experience across public health, financial services, healthcare, insurance, and higher education, Sheila brings a broad business perspective to workforce strategy and organizational effectiveness. She holds an MBA from the University of New Orleans and is a SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP).

In 2026, Sheila was named to the New Orleans CityBusiness Human Resources Power List, recognizing her leadership and contributions to the profession.

Sheila is passionate about developing leaders, strengthening organizations, and building workplaces where people and purpose thrive. Outside of work, she enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends.
