LPHI Named as Finalists for $50 Million Challenge to Support a Safer, More Resilient, and Sustainable Future for the Gulf Coast Region

LPHI, with support from NASEM and Lever for Change, is excited to be named as a finalist for the Gulf Futures Challenge. As finalists, to best support a more resilient and healthy future for our communities, we are collaborating with primary care associations across the Gulf Coast on the Gulf Hub project. This project seeks to increase community resilience through improving health outcomes for 2.5 million residents by transforming Community Health Centers (CHCs) in Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama, and Florida into Resilience Hubs –energy independent community-serving facilities for residents to gather, access information, receive essential services and resources, all while maintaining critical access to healthcare for our coast’s most vulnerable residents before, during and after disasters.
