Collaborative to Improve Behavioral Health Access
What is CIBHA?
A learning collaborative supporting
- Integration of primary care, mental health and addictive disorder services.
- The use of evidence-based practices to manage depression and common mental health conditions.
- Quality improvement activities that advance patient treatment outcomes.
How is behavioral health training relevant to primary care practice? The reality is that
- People are more likely to seek behavioral healthcare in a primary care setting.
- Specialty mental health care is not always available.
- Primary care clinicians are well trained for common problems but need help with more complicated conditions like emotional problems.
Who may participate? All Primary Care Access and Stabilization Grant (PCASG) awardees are eligible to apply and participate in this LPHI- Robert Wood Johnson Foundation (RWJF) initiative.
