Tropical Storm (Hurricane) Isaac:
LPHI Staff: We hope everyone weathered the storm well. At this time, LPHI offices will reopen Friday, August 31st, and 1515 Poydras may reopen by tomorrow afternoon.

If you need to travel or take care of property damage this week, please do so, and work remotely on Friday if needed. Otherwise, all should return Tuesday, September 4th.

Also, please contact your supervisor to alert him or her of your status and location...stay safe, and be careful during clean-up efforts.

Due to Hurricane Isaac’s approach to Southeast Louisiana, LPHI’s main office at 1515 Poydras will close Monday at 5 pm through Wednesday. If conditions are safe, we intend to reopen for business Thursday morning. We will text staff late Wednesday evening with a status update.

Use your discretion as to whether you need to evacuate from Metro New Orleans or other SE LA communities that will be directly affected by the hurricane. Whether you evacuate or not, please inform your supervisor where you will be and how to contact you over the next few days. If you do evacuate, we recognize you will likely need a travel day to return.

For staff outside of New Orleans, please follow your building or community’s protocols and notify your LPHI supervisor. For interns, please follow your university’s protocols.
